Dear Barbie Collectors, Fans and interested people, 

Let me introduce myself and the idea behind my Think Pink Shop.

My name: Beate Rau 

I´m an active Collector of Barbie , Fashion Dolls, vintage Collectables and unique stuff since 10 years.

Surely you know Barbie and her friends…maybe you played with them as a child !?

The inital moment for Collecting Barbie was a vacation to the US. 

The hotel I booked was the place for the National Barbie Convention 2010. I was surprised that nearly 2000 people were there busy shopping, collecting, in workshops and salesroom.

For what?? For Barbie!! It was impressive to see the pink dressed fans having so much fun with their hobby: Collecting Barbie & Friends .

 So I decided to try this adventure for myself and registered for the Barbie Convention 2011…and there after for every futher year in the USA. 

I also visited conventions in Germany, Italy and my wish for the future is to visit the Barbie Convention in Japan and Paris.

It is so exciting and wonderful to meet people from all over the world who have the same Hobby: Collecting Barbie and Fashion Dolls.

This is how I met my german collector friend Elisabeth. We went together to a lot of Conventions in the US and Europe.

But sadly she was diagnosed with cancer and passed away 2 years ago.

We often talked about our collection and how sad it is that nobody could see those beautiful dolls from 1959 till today!

It was her last wish to make something “Beautiful” with her Collection together with mine. I decided after longterm thinking that this “Beautiful”she wished for should be a Collector Store with Barbies & Dolls for sale, on display and to talk about the history of this Fashion Icon “Barbie”. 

Now there is the place: Think Pink Store located in Kreuzlingen / Switzerland is reality since September 2019…and surely the only one in this style !
